Dr. Mays is Double Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and Dermatology with specific fellowship and training in complex medical Dermatology. Her Internal Medicine background and years of practice prior to training in Dermatology places her in a unique position of extensive experience in medical Dermatology . She serves as second opinion nationally for many difficult to treat cases, auto-immune cases, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and any dermatologic condition that needs astute diagnosis and treatment recommendations. She has treated thousands of difficult medical dermatology conditions and has served on numerous advisory boards for new and current pharmaceutical dermatology treatments.
Dr. Mays stays up to date with the latest treatments in Dermatology, often lecturing her colleagues nationally on new medications and advances in medical dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and has pironeeded clinical research in more than 30 clinical trials involving acne, rosacea, psoriasis, alopecia, eczema, pediatric disorders, and autoimmune dermatology. She continues to serve as a referral base for many difficult medical dermatology cases, including proper diagnosis and second opinion from other dermatology colleagues.
