What are the 5 Symptoms of Rosacea?

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder causes redness and small red bumps on the skin. The condition can be misdiagnosed for many other skin conditions, some of which are autoimmune, and therefore it is important to know the symptoms of Rosacea

Face Redness (Erythema): One of the most typical signs of rosacea is persistent redness, especially in the middle of the face, including both cheeks. This may appear as an unfading sunburn or flushing. Usually this is flared with alcohol, spicy food, or stress.

Visible Blood Vessels (Telangiectasia): Tiny red lines, or visible blood vessels, are frequently seen on the cheeks and nose.

Swollen Red Bump (Papules and Pustules): A lot of people with rosacea experience acne-like outbreaks, which can include pus-filled pustules and small, red, solid bumps called papules.

Issues with the Eyes (Ocular Rosacea): Rosacea can cause swelling of the eyelids, redness, dryness, and irritation. Conjunctivitis and other eye problems may result from this.

Skin Thickness (Phymatous Changes): Rosacea can sometimes result in extreme skin thickening and enlarging, especially on the nose (rhinophyma). This occurs more frequently in men and changes with time. It can be extremely disfiguring to the patient, therefore early treatment is key.
