Oxygeneo+ Facial

Oxygeneo+ Inspired by the renowned healing powers of natural hot springs, known for their high concentration of C02, the Oxygeneo+ oxygenates the skin by first exfoliating the epidermis, preparing the skin to receive active nutrients. Then, it deeply cleans the skin while creating a chemical reaction between the patented Capsugen, and the NeoRevive or NeoBright Gel. This chemical reaction produces C02-rich bubbles that gently burst on the skin’s surface, while essential nutrients and antioxidants are infused deeply into the skin. Oxygeneo treatments continue to produce results even after the client leaves the spa or medical practice. Clients get the benefits of microdermabrasion plus the infusion of nutrients to visibly reveal brighter, revitalized skin. The Oxygeneo + offers multiple solutions on a variety of areas. For example, the Oxygeneo+ exfoliates, infuses, and oxygenates to reveal younger-looking skin after just one treatment. Clients love to see quick results! And the gene0+ can be used on the face, décolleté, and body parts such as the arms, back, heels of the feet, and buttocks. Additionally, not only does the client see results after one visit, the spa can see clinical studies that substantiate the efficacy of the device’s oxygenation function.

Lash & Brow Restoration

Our customized facials showcase the most advanced anti-aging products and technology to exfoliate, nourish and hydrate your skin for increased firmness and elasticity and to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Your skin will instantly look more radiant and rejuvenated.

Botox, Xeomin & Dysport

Botox® / Xeomin / Dysport is a simple and safe procedure that can be performed during a routine visit, with no downtime and little to no discomfort. Botox®/Xeomin/Dysport works by temporarily reducing the contractions of the muscles that cause persistent frown lines, forehead wrinkles, or smile lines around the eyes. If treatments are not continued, the muscles will gradually return to normal function and wrinkles will return. Botox can also be used to treat excessive sweating and jaw pain. Our goal with Botox®/Xeomin/Dysport is to give our patients a “softer and relaxed look”, not eliminate movement.

Injectable Fillers

What are Injectable Fillers?

Injectable fillers are gels made primarily of hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in the skin. There are numerous brands of injectable fillers each with different properties and indications of use. Injectable fillers are administered to replace volume and fill areas of mild to moderate volume loss of the face that occur due to the natural process of aging and weight loss. Injectable fillers are FDA-approved to fill the lines of the face, around the mouth and nose, often referred to as “marionette lines” or “parentheses” as well as under eyes and lips. Other areas of the face can be treated off-label.

How are fillers administered?

Fillers are injected into the dermis of the skin using a precise, small bore needle. Upon initial consultation, Dr. Mays will work with you to help determine which areas of the face would respond best to treatment and which type of filler and how many syringes would be needed. A topical numbing cream is applied to the skin for several minutes before the procedure, and the injectable filler itself contains another numbing agent to make sure your treatment is comfortable.

How long does it take to see results? How long do results last?

Most people notice desired changes to the treated areas immediately. There may be some swelling which can last up to 72 hours but usually dissipates within 24 hours. Duration of results can vary from individual to individual and area to area, but improvements commonly last 6-12 months and decrease gradually over time.

Injectable Fillers We Offer

Kybella

Kybella (deoxycholic acid) injection, the first and only FDA-approved injectable drug available that contours and improves the appearance of moderate to severe submental fullness, sometimes referred to as a “double chin,” is now available. Submental fullness is a common, yet under-treated aesthetic condition that is often resistant to diet and exercise alone and influenced by several factors, including aging, genetics and weight gain.

PRP Facial and Hair Rejuvenation

What are PRP Treatments?

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. PRP is the latest cutting edge technology in hair restoration and regrowth with numerous clinical studies supporting its safety and efficacy. Along with other medical hair loss therapies, PRP is one of the only treatments that uses the body’s natural repair mechanism to significantly improve hair regrowth and slow progression of hair thinning. PRP consists of growth factors, cytokines and bio-restorative molecules extracted from blood to stimulate hair follicle re-growth and thickening of existing hair with little down time.

The physician draws a small amount of blood and isolates the red cells from a platelet concentrate, embedded in its own plasma. The entire process takes less than 10 minutes.Since the PRP is processed from the patient’s own blood, there is no risk of allergy or rejection with this treatment. The extracted PRP is high in mesenchymal stem cells, and autologous blood products that contain essential and specific growth factors that assist in regeneration of the hair follicle and inhibition of further shedding.

It has also been shown in small studies to help thicken already existing hair. While there are no guarantees and every patient responds to treatment differently, PRP is an exciting, quick, non-surgical treatment with minimal down time and low risks or complications.

The PRP system we utilize is a dual-spin technology with a patented gel that allows better separation of red blood cells to produce a pure highly concentrated PRP free of cell contamination. Our PRP system produces an industry leading platelet-recovery yield, maintaining healthy platelets and thus resulting in maximum possible hair growth. Additionally, the tube uses an anticoagulant of more neutral pH, resulting in a more pain-free experience. Best of all, the process takes just minutes!

PRP Skin Rejuvenation

Similar to PRP hair restoration, this cutting-edge preventative and corrective therapy harnesses the body’s natural healing process for complete rejuvenation of the skin leading to improved texture, firmness and elasticity. Once extracted, the PRP is then either injected or micro-needled onto the skin surface. The growth factor and cytokine-rich PRP aids in regeneration of the skin cells resulting in renewed glowing skin. Dr. Mays will fully evaluate your skin tone and texture to determine the best technique for your PRP skin rejuvenations. Recommended every 3-4 weeks.

PRP Hair Restoration

The PRP system we utilize has shown to improve hair shaft length, increase hair density, and increase follicular units. The system’s patented gel technology efficiently separates red blood cells from PRP and produces an industry leading platelet-recovery yield of 85 percent per unit volume, increasing its purity and minimizing injection discomfort. Best of all, our system was designed to be easy on our patients. The preparation process takes just a few minutes with as little as 10cc of blood draw. The result is a more efficacious and comfortable PRP experience.

Microneedling

The variable depth (.25mm to 2.5mm) of SkinPen and the cordless design provide significant versatility to create change in many areas of the body, including the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.

The actual procedure typically takes 30 minutes depending on the size and number of areas treated and the severity of damage on the skin and results in little to no downtime for the patient.SkinPen is a medical grade, state-of-the-art microneedling device designed to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scars on the face and body.

It allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair process by creating thousands of precise micro-injuries in the dermis, automatically triggering new collagen synthesis without causing scar tissue formation.

Chemical Peels

During a chemical peel, we safely and gently remove the outer layer of the skin, to help restore a new, healthy, even skin tone with an overall added glow.Chemical peels are a wonderful way to help reduce blotchy texture, uneven pigmentation, fine lines & wrinkles, age spots, sun spots, redness, superficial acne scarring and acne. They are an ideal way to improve the overall quality of skin with little to no down time.

Available Peels:

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure that is used to effectively treat and eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. Sclerotherapy involves an injection of a solution (generally a salt solution) directly into the vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to collapse and stick together and the blood to clot. The treatment is minimally invasive. The procedure also can improve related symptoms such as aching, swelling, burning and night cramps. The path to eliminating a spider vein or varicose vein problem begins at a consultation with a physician who specializes in vascular issues. After taking a medical history and conducting a physical exam, the doctor will determine whether a patient is a likely candidate for the procedure.

How does the treatment feel?

You will feel heat and some pressure. The treatment is tolerable but your physician will work with you to maximize your comfort level. Compared to CO2 lasers, many find the INFINI more comfortable.

How long is the downtime?

There is an initial redness and swelling which substantially subsides after 24-36 hours. It can take up to a week for this to completely resolve. Most people resume normal activities within 48 hours.

How long will my results last?

Unlike many other procedures, this has long lasting results since it is your own body that is at work. The effects could last for years.

How long before I see results?

You can expect to see some changes as soon as a day or two after the procedure. However your body will continue to rebuild collagen for several weeks after, so you will see improvement over the next six months.

How long does the treatment take and how many treatments will I need?

A treatment can take as little as 15 minutes and up to an hour.Your physician will discuss your goals which will determine the length and number of treatments you will need. Many see results after just one treatment.

Vascular Laser

How does the KTP laser work?

Facial redness, broken capillaries and angiomas (red dots), rosacea and port wine stains can all be successfully treated with the KTP laser. The bright green laser light is absorbed selectively into shallow blood vessels which are gently headed to stimulate a repair process. Some blood vessels disappear on contact with the laser and those that do not immediately make take up to 4 weeks to fully resolve or require additional treatment. This process is quick, easy and an affordable option by comparison to other technologies currently available. Once vessels have become visible at the surface level, they will only be successfully treated with laser applications.

What is the KTP Laser Treatment?

What can I expect during the treatment?

A treatment can be 15, 30, or 45 minutes long. Although patients do improve when additional treatments are added, usually patients only require 1-3 treatment on their face. Sometimes a touch-up procedure is required, depending on their desired result, and appointment may be scheduled after 4 weeks or more. Protective eye shields will be placed over your eyes. Cold, clear gel is applied to your face as a coupling agent for the laser. During the treatment, you will be able to feel each pulse of the laser energy shine into your skin, as it gently warms blood vessels. Most patients report their pain as being extremely mild but certain areas may be more sensitive, like the upper lip and nose. Afterwards there may be a slight sunburn sensation and redness that can easily be covered with makeup.

When can I expect results?

Immediate improvement in vessels is noticed, although improvements in blood vessels continue over the next 4-6 weeks. For patients with numerous vessels or background redness without vessels, more treatments will continue to help. Red angioma spots may immediately turn gray-brown and appear shallower within the skin. Make-up can cover these areas up, but the gray-brown spots will flake off subtly over the next week with normal care. Your provider will review the full after care instructions to explain the expected outcome and expectations of the days ahead.

Photofacial

A photofacial is a treatment touted to reverse sun damage, even out facial color as well as improve tone and texture in the process. In other words, photofacial treatments reportedly: tighten pores. reduce the severity of acne.

What to Expect After an Photofacial?

Immediately following your treatment, the treated areas will be pinkish red with slight swelling. The reddish coloring will typically dissipate within 24 hours. After the treatment, you may notice that sunspots and discoloration appear darker and slightly more prominent. This is normal and a good sign that the treatment is working.

Over the next few days, brown spots and other blemishes will begin to surface on the skin. The spots may raise and look like dark coffee grounds on the skin. These spots will naturally flake off over the following days.

Microtox

Lines and wrinkles can develop on the neck as we age due to a number of factors, including:

Microtox can be used to smooth the neck. It is effective at relaxing two types of lines around the neck:
Horizontal – As we get older, horizontal creases or bands naturally form on the neck. These lines can be reduced by injecting small amounts of BOTOX® above and below the wrinkles wherever they appear.
Vertical – Some people, especially those who exercise a lot, develop rope-like vertical protrusions on their neck that are particularly apparent when they speak. These bands, which are caused by the platysma muscles, strengthen and grow through years of eating, straining and general tension in the jaw. The muscles extend from the top of the chest to the lower jawline and can be more apparent when a person smiles. Sagging platysma muscles are sometimes referred to as ‘turkey neck’.
However, these bands can be very effectively smoothed and relaxed with BOTOX® treatment.

Eye Contouring

Phenol Peels

What is a Phenol Peel?

A phenol peel is a deep peel that is sometimes recommended for treating severe wrinkles (from fine lines to deep creases), sun damage, uneven skin tone and texture and may be used in the treatment of precancerous skin conditions. Phenol is particularly useful for minimizing the vertical lines that often form around the mouth as a result of aging. Deep peels take longer to perform and will leave a healing crust on the skin that must be covered with protective ointment and limited from sun exposure. There is a burning sensation, but it is relieved somewhat because the solution also acts as an anesthetic. Phenol cannot be used on your neck or other parts of your body.

Phenol peels and glycolic acid peels are at opposite ends of the chemical peel spectrum. Glycolic acid peels are considered mild, and phenol peels are incredibly strong. Often referred to as deep peels, they tend to give the most dramatic results but also require the most recovery time. The end result, however, is believed to last for years to come.

What to expect during the Deep Peel procedure?

The procedure can take less than half an hour to perform, but afterward patients often look like victims of severe sunburn. A deep chemical peel procedure takes at least 30 minutes to two hours to complete but may take longer. Medications are administered for your comfort during the procedure. Depending on the type of chemical peel chosen and the area treated, local anesthesia may be adequate; however, for larger areas, sedation or general anesthesia may be recommended. After your procedure is completed, you will be taken into a recovery area where you will continue to be closely monitored.

What to expect during the recovery for the Phenol Peel?

A deeper peel will involve a more prolonged healing period. After the procedure, the skin will be red and crusty, followed by scabs and flaking. It might take one to two weeks before patients feel comfortable going out in public, and some practitioners say the sunburned look could last as long as three months.

If you think you can handle waiting three months to see the final result, the effects of a phenol peel have been shown to be very satisfactory. Your skin could look smoother, tighter and, if you’re lucky, blemish-free. Unfortunately, the treatment doesn’t come without risk, and it isn’t necessarily right for everyone. A phenol peel will often leave skin looking permanently bleached, which makes it less than ideal for people without fair complexions.

How Many Treatments Do I Needed?

Unlike the other peels which tend to need a cycle of multiple procedures spaced out over several weeks, Phenol peels only require one treatment.

At What Age You Can Get First Phenol Peel Treatment?

Sometimes patients can get phenol peel as early as in 20’s. For many teenagers that suffer from several acne often prescribed a light chemical peel, but the more severe deep chemical peel should be something that is weighed heavier and therefore maybe not suitable for the teenagers suffering from acne. The idea of when is the appropriate age to begin the processes and procedures to combat the effects of the environment and age on your skin is one that should be thought of is on an individual basis.

Treatment Aftercare

As part of that aftercare regime, the individual who has just had the phenol peel also needs to consider what they need to avoid promoting better and faster healing. One of the most important things to avoid is exposure to the harmful rays of the sun. Not only including a high SPF sunscreen applied frequently and liberally but also making sure that the affected area is covered and protected from those rays. Also, you should avoid the extreme heat like that given off in a sauna, jacuzzi, even a hot shower or a hairdryer. Any form of heat that could possibly agitate the sensitive dermal layers should be steered clear of. A very important avoidable aspect of life especially at the very beginning of the healing process would be any attempt to exfoliate. Many people think that by exfoliating they can speed up the peeling process. However, a heavy exfoliating could agitate the skin further. Instead, the better thing to concentrate on is the aftercare regime especially the use of hydrating moisturizers to ensure the skin being supple and that will invigorate the healing process the way it should go. Make-up should be avoided as well. Any use of foundation whether liquid or powder could place a bright spotlight of the peeling and flaking that comes after the phenol peel. The better choice if you need for some sort of coverage is a BB cream that is moisture-rich or even a moisturizer with a tint added. About a week out the patients can start utilizing products with active ingredients like moisturizers with AHA as well as beginning the reintroduction of chemical exfoliants. To keep the results of this peel fresh and maintain that fresh and glowing skin you can couple the chemical exfoliant with consistent moisturizing and use of that SPF sunscreen.

After the phenol peel, many of the people that go through this procedure return to their work and normal everyday life two weeks after the procedure. Though they often return to their daily routines there will still be peeling, crusting discomfort and redness for several weeks up to a month. Painkillers could be prescribed to help with much of the discomfort that will be present after the phenol peel. The results of this one deep chemical peel treatment can have fantastic results that will keep that new skin glowing and radiant for up to ten years. So, a phenol peel despite the potential side effects could be the answer to solving the deep wrinkles, blotchy skin, or acne scars brought on by the stress of everyday life or the environmental impacts of the modern-day world.
